Small Wall Art

This small piece made of batik fabric is 17.5" x 13.5".  It is machine quilted and has a hanging sleeve for a rod and has a hand finished binding.  The leaves are real leaves, scanned and printed on fabric.

Log Cabin quilt top

This all batik log cabin quilt top has a large variety of fabrics in it.  It is 45.5" x 63.5".  The logs are 1" wide.  It would look good with 2 borders, a narrow and a wide one or finish it as is. There is a row of staystitching around the perimeter of the quilt.

They are all approximately 8.5" x 11" and have a heavy interfacing under a layer of batting to give them body.  The edges are finished with a close satin stitch with plain color or variegated heavy thread.

One Block Wonder

This is a quilt top 46" wide x 55" from point to point.  Also there are two pieces of fabric, one is 7/8 yard and the other is 3/8 yard.

Four Patch Posy blocks and fabric

This photo shows 24 of the 28 blocks that are available.  The photo below shows a closer view and a little better representation of the true colors.

 This group includes 28 pieced 11.5" blocks and 2 1/8 yards of the fabric shown at left.  You could easily fill in with plain 11.5" squares cut from the fabric to make a larger quilt.

I am cutting off my larger pieces of batik fabrics from my collection starting in the early 1990s.  They are all top quality pima cotton type batiks, no loosely woven or dull finish batiks.  They have all been washed and ironed.  Fat sixteenths are approximately the size of a sheet of standard copy paper.

Kaffe collective fabrics for sale

 

pack of 40 fat 8ths (9" x 22") which is 5 yards of fabric.  All are Kaffe Fassett fabrics except for 6 Brandon Mably added for a good selection of colors.  Most of the Kaffe prints are older ones, the kind you see on ebay for $4 and higher for a fat quarter ($16+ a yard).

Dick and Jane Winter fabric

This Dick and Jane fabric is the winter scenes from 1998.  I have only seen the summer scene fabric offered on ebay and it is $10-12.95.

Background for applique

This is a backing, fusible batting and raw edge batik strips.  They are stitched down with 2-3 rows of straight stitching by machine with rayon embroidery thread.  It is approximately 17" x 21.5".

quilt top 50" square, ready to be finished with quilting and binding.  All batik fabrics.  The squares and triangles in the design are 2".

Rectangle kits for colorwash

Here are 2 sample selections of one piece each of 120 different fabrics, regular quilting cotton (not batik). Pieces 2.5" x 4.5".  There are 2 kits alike of one of the trays, the rest of the kits are a variation of the other tray (so all kits are not identical).  The kits are intended as starter packages for a group from which you could assemble a colorwash quilt top.  You would need to add additional fabrics from your own stash.
